In our house it seems to get harder and harder to put away the Christmas decorations. Maybe it's because my oldest is almost 12 and I fear that next Christmas he won't believe in Santa and will think he is too cool for Christmas. Whatever the reason, our decorations and tree tend to stay up well past the New Year's celebration.
Which is why I think it is great that the Conservation District of Southern Nevada will be holding its Annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program until January 15th. It let's procrastinators like me hold on to the tree a little bit longer! The recycling program has many location across the Las Vegas area that will be accepting trees. There are some things you need to know, like trees taller than 5 feet need to be cut in half. You can read up on it and their drop off points at their website http://cdsn.org/christmastreerecycling.html
CDSN also provides free mulch on January 14th from the recycled trees.
